Bank Requirements

Using UPICs requires very little change to the payment process, however, there are several requirements of financial institution before they can issue UPICs:

• Current participant of the Electronic Payments Network (EPN)
• Connection to the UPIC system is browser based and requires access via a SecurID token provided by EPN and Microsoft Internet Explorer
• Completed UPIC registration process with the Clearing House

Optional Application Modifications

• Create Extract File with required data
• Create UPIC input file detail records
• Consider need to extract 'on-us' items
• Consider appending UPIC to Customer Information File, DDA, etc.
